The members of Warwick FOP7 are holding a coat drive for children. Please help the Warwick Police Department help kids in need of a warm coat this winter. The Fraternal Order of Police Associates, along with the Warwick Police Department, Warwick Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, Warwick FOP Lodge #7, and the City of Warwick are having a Coat for Kids Drive.
Coats for Kids brings warmth to the hearts, minds, and bodies of children in need by providing them with new winter coats. Winter can be an especially difficult season for families experiencing financial hardship. The Coats for Kids program ensures that at-risk children stay warm when the temperature drops, helping these children stay healthy and attend school.
Please bring new or gently used coats to the Warwick Police Station up until Nov. 25th. Coats will be distributed by West Bay Community Action. We invite businesses, schools, churches, and organizations to join our Coat Drive.

Very sad. My husband’s uncle had that happen as a Providence Firefighter in the 60’s that almost killed him. He survived but ended his career. It’s such a tough job. Thank you for everything you all do.
My deepest condolences to all who knew and loved him. May he R.I.P.

Yesterday, at our annual Firefighter’s Memorial Sunday, the names of our departed members were once again read aloud. The list includes seven who have died in the line of duty. We remember them all.
Our thanks to the Special Signal Fire Association / Providence Canteen and Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company & Museum for their assistance.
Our thanks to Mayor Frank Picozzi for attending as well as State Senators McKenney and LaMountain, candidate Apollonio, State Reps Bennet, Solomon and candidate Read. City Council Members McAllister, Foley, Gebhart, Travis, Sinapi, McElroy and Candidate Muto for attending. Apologies to anyone missed.
Most importantly, thank you to the friends and families of our departed who were able to attend this year. ... See MoreSee Less

Fun fact about the bricks with the names of the departed. There are only 2 bricks who's corner touches another brick with a name. My father Cpt. William ( Bill) Fielder and Orlo Coucher. They were best friends for many years on WFD and passed away, within 2 weeks of each other. When we inquired about the bricks we asked that their bricks were next to each other. I like to think they are up there talking about the good Ole days! AWESOME job WFD on the ceremony yesterday and never forgetting our fallen heros.❤️❤️
Very impressive ceremony ❤️🚒
Makes me proud 👨🚒👍
